Ayo saatnya bangkit dari kubur eh kasur buat belajar Toefl listening karena kali ini akan ada banyak rahasia dalam soal toefl listening yang akan dibahas. Yuk cekidott….!!!

Listening Part A dalam Toefl listening biasanya berisi dialog pendek yang topik nya seputar kegiatan perkuliahan seperti tentang kehadiran dikelas, pembicaraan dengan professors, ujian, ataupun tentang academic writing. Jadi, mulai dari sekarang, bikin diri kamu akrab dengan vocabulary Bahasa Inggris seputar akademik ya.  Selain itu, dalam Toefl listening part A juga banyak memuat Dialog tentang aktifitas sehari-hari seperti tentang shopping, meeting, liburan, dll. Bahasa yang digunakan oleh speaker pun masih Bahasa informal. Beberapa soal juga menguji kemampuan kita tentang berbagai jenis language function seperti agreement & disagreement, atau accepting dan rejecting. Nah, meskipun kebanyakan jawaban di dalam tes Toefl listening Part A ini menitik beratkan pada pembicara kedua, kamu juga harus tetap memahami garis besar keseluruhan dialog biar kamu semaqueen yaqueen kalau jawabanmu itu benar dan gak cuma ikutin kata hati dan perasaanmu aja pas ngisi jawaban karena cinta listening butuh logika juga:’).

Oiya, ada beberapa tipe pertanyaan yang kamu harus tahu dalam Toefl listening Part A seperti dibawah ini:

Meaning Question

Ini adalah tipe soal yang paling banyak ditanyakan di Toefl listening part A. Soal ini biasanya meminta kita untuk menjelaskan kembali apa yang dimaksud pembicara kedua. Pertanyaannya biasanya seperti “What does the man/woman mean”, What do the speakers say about?”. Nah, kalau udah ada pertanyaan kaya gitu sebenernya kamu tinggal restatement aja maksud pembicara kedua itu tentang apa sih sebenernya dan maunya dia apa.

Inference Questions

Inference Question Ini adalah bentuk pertanyaan listening yang juga sering muncul dalam Toefl listening Part A meskipun gak sesering meaning question kaya yang udah dijelasin sebelumnya. Biasanya jawabannya gak secara langsung ada di dialog. Jadi, kamu harus pinter-pinter mencari tau kira-kira apa sinonim dari kata-kata yang ada dialog. Contoh pertanyaanya biasanya seperti “What does the man/woman imply?”, What can be inferred from the conversation about?”, “What can be concluded from the conversation about”?

Questions about suggestions

Dalam pertanyaan jenis ni, biasanya ada salah satu orang yang ‘mengeluh” tentang masalah yang dihadapinya alias berupa curhatan gitu. Nah lalu, orang yang curhat tadi biasanya minta solusi ke pembicara kedua. Pembicara kedua biasanya langsung ngasih saran. Contoh : pembicara pertama ngeluh karena nilainya Toefl listening nya jelek, lalu pembicara kedua ngasih saran buat belajar Toefl ke miss vera. Eaaaa. Wkwk. Oke skip. Nah, contoh pertanyaannya biasanya seperti “What does the woman suggest the man do?”, “What does the man think the woman should”?

Gimana? Udah jelas? Sekarang kalian bisa tahu apa saja tipe-tipe soal di Toefl listening Part A. Sebenarnya, masih ada sekitar 9 jenis soal lagi yang biasa ada di Listening Part A. Tapi, disimpen dulu untuk materi berikutnya ya. See youuuu…..!!!
